Karineh Gurjian is a Los Angeles–based photographer whose work moves seamlessly between commercial and fine art. Guided by light, color, and texture, her images are deliberate and tactile, grounded in restraint rather than excess.
Her commercial practice spans editorial, advertising, hospitality, and brand storytelling, while her fine art work is shaped by travel, curiosity, and close observation. The two are deeply connected. Commercial work sharpens her discipline; fine art sustains her intuition. Each informs the other, quietly and intentionally.
Influenced by years of living and working in New York City and extensive travel, Karineh approaches photography as a way to translate experience rather than stage it. She is drawn to moments that feel unforced and human, images that reward attention and linger beyond the frame.
Now based in Los Angeles, Karineh collaborates with clients and institutions nationwide, bringing a refined point of view, a steady process, and an appreciation for nuance to every project.
